1. Purpose of Contract
This contract is issued as the student has reached Level 2 of Evolution Education's Behaviour Levels Framework following either:
Unsuccessful completion of Level 1 (Report Stage); or
Rapid escalation due to Health & Safety or persistent behavioural concerns.
Purpose: Provide structured, time-bound intervention and support; ensure placement stability and readiness to learn; set clear expectations and accountability; align with LBBD, Mayesbrook Park School, and Ofsted 2025 AP standards.
All behaviour must continue to be logged daily on Bromcom.
2. Reasons for Contract
Refusal to follow staff instructions.
Repeated low-level disruption/off-task behaviour.
Non-engagement in learning (on-site or online).
Unsafe or disrespectful conduct towards peers or staff.
Patterns of lateness, absence, or misuse of equipment.
3. Expectations Under This Contract
Learning Behaviour
Engage in all lessons; follow instructions first time; complete work to best ability; use equipment safely; remain alert and focused.
Conduct
Show respect to all staff and peers; avoid disruption or covert defiance; remain in seat unless permitted; attend Reflection+ when directed.
Attendance & Punctuality
Arrive on time daily; attend all sessions; communicate calmly if dysregulated or unwell.
4. Support & Monitoring (Level 2)
Weekly 1:1 mentoring session.
Weekly review with Pathway Lead.
Access to counselling or Thrive/Boxall where appropriate.
Daily engagement checks (Bromcom and Purple Ruler).
Weekly parent/carer contact and fortnightly progress updates.
5. Preset SMART Targets
Learning Engagement: Complete ≥ 90% of set tasks each week and follow first-time instructions in every lesson.
Behaviour & Conduct: Show respect to staff/peers at all times; no more than 1 recorded behaviour incident per week.
SEMH / Self-Regulation: Use agreed strategies (e.g., calm card/check-in space) to self-regulate and avoid conflict or referral for reflection.
6. Review Structure
Weekly reviews must include: behaviour chronology, engagement evidence, mentor notes, parent feedback, and progress on SMART targets.
Successfully completed – return to Level 1 or clear.
Extended for further 2–4 weeks.
Escalated to Level 3 (Final Warning Contract).
7. Consequences
Removal from class or Reflection+.
Extension or escalation of contract.
Risk assessment and request for suspension via parent school.
Possible placement review with parent school.
8. Positive Outcomes
Contract lifted upon consistent improvement.
Access to enrichment, rewards, and pathway opportunities.
Recognition in assembly for positive progress.
